Ariel is a licensed lawyer qualified to practice before the higher courts. His practice focuses on corporate advisory services with particular regard to corporate governance, M&A, corporate law, restructuring, bankruptcy law, commercial law and related litigation. He also regularly acts as an arbitrator in civil litigation. He works in Italian and English.

Ariel is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Mauro De André Forensic School. He was a member of the Council of Arbitrators of the Union of Italian Jewish Communities from 2006 to 2010. From 2009 to 2017 he served as Chairman of the company Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A. www.portoantico.it , a concessionary company of the area of the old port of Genoa with the aim of urban redevelopment of the same area. From 2015 to 2016, he was also Chairman of the company Fiera di Genova S.p.A. From 2011 to 2016 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Teatro Stabile di Genova. From 2012 to 2017 he was a member of the Port Committee of Assindustria Genova. From 2012 to 2015 he was a member of the Council of the Union of Jewish Communities of Genoa. From 2015 he is President of the Jewish Community of Genoa. From 2023 he is President of Jewish Lawyers Association (AGE). He regularly gives lectures and speeches and participates in the cultural debate on historical, philosophical and social issues.

Graduated with honors in Law from the University of Genoa in 1990. In 1993 he carried out an internship at DeOrchis & Partners, New York - Law Firm specialized in maritime and international law. In 1994 he was awarded first place in the exam to qualify as an Attorney at the Court of Appeal of Genoa - Riccardo Princivalle Prize.
