Tourist Tax and Hospitality Operators: Implications of Supreme Court Ruling No. 1527/2026

On 24 April, at 12:00 noon, Beatrice Nobili delivered a talk on a highly topical issue in the hotel sector: the tourist tax, in light of the recent ruling of the Joint Sections of the Court of Cassation (Order No. 1527/2026), and its practical implications for the hospitality industry.

The presentation focused on the reclassification of hotel operators from accounting agents to taxpayers, as clarified by the aforementioned ruling, and examined the resulting legal and operational consequences for accommodation providers.

The initiative forms part of a series of online meetings organised by Confindustria Alberghi for its members, aimed at providing timely and practical updates on key issues affecting the hospitality sector.
