Ivano is a lawyer licensed to practice before the higher courts. His practice focuses on civil and commercial law, with particular reference to contractual issues, M&A transactions, corporate law and insolvency matters. He also deals with litigation, including arbitration. He works in Italian and English.

Ivano collaborates with the Forensic School Mauro De André. He collaborates in the activity of the Mediation Commission at the Mediation and Training Body of the Bar Association of Genoa. He has been coordinator of the Scientific and Steering Committee of the Arbitration Chamber of the Bar Association of Genoa.

He graduated with honors from the University of Genoa in 1982. He obtained a PhD in international and comparative tax law. He obtained his professional qualification in 1984 and is a member of the Genoa Bar Association. He has been enrolled in the Special Register for the Court of Cassation and the higher courts since 1989.
