Once again this year, GPD participated as a sponsor at the Italian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
During the final, held on Saturday at the Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Darina Ferri represented the Firm by awarding the Best New Team Award to the team from Sapienza University of Rome. The team, which placed second, gained access to the prestigious international rounds in Washington.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the largest moot court competition in the world, with over 600 law schools from 90 countries. It simulates a case between States before the International Court of Justice, in which each team prepares written memorials and oral arguments, advocating both positions. A panel of three judges evaluates the participants based on their argumentative skills and knowledge of international law.
