Gemma Provaggi De André is among the sponsors of the eighteenth edition of the Aon Open Challenger – Memorial Giorgio Messina, the international tennis tournament that will take place in Genoa from September 18 to 25 at the red clay courts of Valletta Cambiaso.
After two years of suspension due to the pandemic, the curtain will rise once again on an event that over the years has achieved record numbers with 25,000 spectators throughout the entire week, bringing to prominence tennis players who today rank among the world’s best, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas (who triumphed in 2017), Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Sonego (winner in 2018 and 2019).
The Aon Open Challenger – Memorial Giorgio Messina is one of the main Italian tournaments after the Rome Masters with 185,000 dollars in Total Financial Commitment and the accolades obtained over the years: in 2014 best Challenger in the world, while in 2018 and 2019 it won the award for best Italian Challenger. This year too it will be directed by Sergio Palmieri (Director of the Rome Masters) and will feature the participation of names of great prestige.
