Since 1973, The Ocean Race has been one of the world’s longest and most demanding sporting events, the most challenging crewed sailing race and one of three major events in sailing sport, alongside the Olympic Games and the America’s Cup.
The race departed on January 15, 2023 from Alicante, Spain and, after touching 7 stages throughout the world, will arrive in Genoa at the end of June.

Among the main sustainability initiatives:
– Reducing the environmental impact of the event, by utilizing renewable energy, reducing CO2 emissions, promoting recycling and minimizing waste production.
– Raising public awareness on the importance of protecting the oceans and marine life.
– Promoting sustainable innovation, encouraging the development of sustainable technologies and practices in the sailing and marine activities sector.
