We are once again among the sponsors of AON Open Challenger – Memorial Giorgio Messina. The international tennis tournament, now in its nineteenth edition, takes place in Genoa from September 3rd to 10th at the clay courts of Valletta Cambiaso.
The Aon Open Challenger Memorial Giorgio Messina, with a Total Financial Commitment (prize money + entry fees) of 185 thousand dollars, has long represented one of the most important tennis tournaments in Italy after the Internazionali di Roma at Foro Italico.
Over the years, the tournament, which is part of the ATP Challenger Tour, has experienced extraordinary growth. Since 2003, it has continuously increased the level of competition, serving as a showcase for all Italian Davis Cup players as well as some extraordinary interpreters of world tennis such as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Matteo Berrettini, who have long been among the top-ranked players in the world.
Last year’s edition concluded with the victory of Brazilian Thiago Monteiro against Italian Andrea Pellegrino. This year as well, the organization will be entrusted to Sergio Palmieri, an illustrious figure in international tennis, Organizational Director of the FITP, Director of the Internazionali d’Italia and Coordinator of the Technical Sector responsible for organizing all Davis Cup and Fed Cup matches held in Italy.
