Giampaolo is a registered chartered accountant and a certified auditor. His activity focuses on the corporate, tax, banking and business crisis sectors. He gained, also in the context of boards of directors and boards of auditors, relevant experience in the areas of corporate governance, M&A, corporate and insolvency law. In the tax sector, Giampaolo provides consulting services and advocacy in litigation procedures before the tax courts. He works in Italian and English.

He developed a broad expertise as a board member of listed and non-listed banks, as well as a statutory auditor of banks, insurance companies, asset management companies and SMEs. Giampaolo deals with corporate crises and acquired a specific professional experience in matters of preventive agreements, judicial liquidations, extraordinary administration and compulsory administrative liquidation of insurance companies. Giampaolo regularly lectures at the Department of Economics of the University of Genoa. He frequently holds conferences and seminars and is the author of numerous papers.
